Am I the only one that thinks Darrell's voice sounds like Barney?
Hello. First of all, I want to congratulate you on the art, the character designs, and the beginning of the game; visually it is beautiful, and the premise is completely hooking. In fact, I thought that, as a side relationship in the story, April and Moriah are excellently written—their loyalty and chemistry feel incredibly genuine.
I have been following this project closely, and even though I know it is still in development, I must admit I am deeply disappointed with the direction Chester and Eddy’s romantic route took. Based on how Eddy was presented at the beginning, I genuinely felt he was looking for a more meaningful connection, but the writing in this route has fallen into inconsistencies that completely break the immersion. While I understand Chester is in an open marriage with Dave, a mature and exclusive polyamorous relationship between the three of them would have had amazing potential. Instead, the route loses its seriousness and meaning due to sudden plot twists: Chester confessing he is a sex worker by choice after being cornered by Eddy's investigation, his involvement with half the cast, and the revelations of his criminal past. Furthermore, forcing the protagonist to act impulsively without giving the player a choice—like what happens overnight with Randy—ruins the character's core.
It was incredibly frustrating to see the protagonist become so submissive in the end, blindly accepting that lifestyle and joining that entire love circle without questioning anything. It is a huge letdown because Chester had massive potential; it would have been amazing to see a character arc where he decides to leave that vicious cycle behind to focus entirely on his two true loves: his husband Dave and Eddy. The game started out great, but it ended very poorly for me.
I am well aware that the story is already set and that this comment won't change the current development, but I wanted to share my honest critique. Because I disagreed with so many narrative choices and the game completely lost its sense for me, I decided to delete it. However, I hope you can take this feedback into account for the narrative structure of your future projects.

Keep in mind that this isn't a linear project and routes for Pat, Trent, Dave and Cliff are yet to come out so for all we know, the writing in upcoming routes may be much better than Chester's route.

You’re totally right, it's not fair to judge the future of the whole game just based on how Chester's route turned out. I completely agree that this project has amazing art and a ton of potential—that's exactly why I was so bummed to see the direction his story took. If the devs ever give Chester a more solid or meaningful character development in the future, that would be awesome; but if not, I get it.
I'm actually really glad to hear that Pat, Trent, Dave, and Cliff's routes are on the way and that the writing might take a better turn. It definitely makes me curious! I’ve decided to wait a good while until the game is much further along or almost finished before jumping back into it. That way, I can enjoy all those new stories all at once instead of getting frustrated waiting for updates route by route.
I really hope the team knocks it out of the park with the upcoming characters. I'll be keeping an eye on the project from a distance. Cheers!
Just played through this yesterday and wow. It had aspects I didn't really know I needed? 10/10 Cant wait for next update (however long that may be)

Eddie must be some type of entity made to bring forgiveness to the world. Dude gets through these type of shit and without even a snarky remark at anyone, not even when Chester tryed to fire him for the shit that HE did at the hydromassage.
I would have told on him RIGHT THERE. Fuck that mutt (in the bad way) and that bear too, do you want to lick his balls so bad? Go to hell. And if Cliff gets pissy he can threesome his way into it too
Im sorta curious to see how theyr relationship will develop.
Its sort of clear (at least to me and the 2 braincells and 5 microplastics that inhabit my brain) that Pat and Skizzy thing is trauma after John's death, and Skizzy being a tad manipulative, as he is shown to be both on that shitty excuse on Chester's route and Darrel's past (wich despite the bias, got to have some truth, judging by how Pat behaviour changes when he is around- [yes, i just realized i sounded like one of those Karen parents that blame "the influences" for theyr child behaviour, its the end for me] + both Pat and Cliff say they are getting tired of Skizzy.
I feel simpathetic with Pat, but dude is his worst enemy, and always manages to do something that ticks me off.

Wow... just wow, this vn was definitely more of the unique ones I played! I friggin love the characters and their personalities, April and Moriah are the absolute best!!! I'm so glad I decided to check this out. I played through Chester's route and plan on doing Darrell's soon! I'm going to be a big fan of this and I'm happily awaiting the next update!! :3 <3<3<3

This is the first visual novel I’ve ever played, and OMG—I'm seriously in love with the vibe and mood the game brings.
I’ve only played Darrell’s route so far. Gotta say, he’s totally my type so I picked him without even thinking twice. I was completely immersed in every moment the game offered.
When Eddy started getting closer to Darrell and there were some romantic moments happening, I was literally high as heck =)))
And then when Darrell misunderstood Eddy... my mood just dropped right along with him. I’ve finished the route but my heart still feels heavy :(
Can’t wait for the next update to see what Eddy will say to Darrell!

Commenting for the algorithm, because this VN is still (according to the number of ratings) apparently under-read compared to the big names out there. I have not read through the latest update, as I prefer to wait for a few to accumulate before re-immersing myself in the narrative, but I am sure that it is great.

i can quite see myself in eddy because i myself am a big boy... not fan of it my thoughts about myself are almost identical to eddy´s, so seeing the stuff that chester says in that one scene in the 7th day makes me feel better about myself. honestly mosts of the stuff makes me feel better even to the point of crying...

This is a device issue, not an issue with Chord Progressions' code. This is more of a "glitch" and not a "bug".

I was going to Ask when the other routes were going to pop up. Because I swear I saw Trent's pop up on an earlier version but now there's only Chester and Darrell.
Trent's route has never been an option. Just Chester and Darrell at the moment. More characters will have routes in the future.
Just finished the available routes and really liked it so far, although neither Chester nor Derrill are my favorite of the bunch, even being positively surprised by Derrill's route. I think the storytelling is really good and how you can see the missing pieces of the overall story on other routes is great. Can't wait for Pat's and Cliffs routes to pop up, even if it will take a long time, so long it keep this quality the wait is worth it. Good job to all members involved, your hard work really shows

If I had to briefly summarize this update. "out of the frying pan, into the fire" But seriously. Eddy decides to take his nose out of Chester's business to end up getting mixed up in Pat Drama's. Frankly, I wonder if he's not doing it on purpose.
