I'm not sure if it may be because I'm currently running the game on a less powerful device (android), but none of the cgs or backgrounds load for me. It'll just show a solid color (for example in the closet at the beginning it was just a velvet like color, and in the bedroom its like a tan.)

Hi! This is very likely an issue with your device and not an issue with the game. My recommendation would be trying to uninstall and reinstall the game on your device. If it still doesn't work, you will need to use another device.

I said a bit in my review, but I wanted to reply here because the google questionnaire is a little lacking to fully express my views. The two things I wanted to provide a little more feedback on are the voice acting and the music at the concert. I think the voice acting is a double edge sword. The little noises, like the scoffs, the giggles, the hmms and ha's, are very charming! Totally in favor of those. The actual voiced lines are where the mileage varies. Sometimes the actors speak like they're in a vacuum, like they're reading the one line and delivering it without the context of the rest of the statement flowing in or out of it. On the flip side, sometimes the voice acting is really great when it tells the player exactly how the line is supposed to sound. What really stands out to me is Chester's menacing "Don't worry about it. Understand?" line, it comes off fine without the voice over, but it's tricky to get that exact tone in writing alone, but the delivery lets the reader hear it with all the pressure and edge that the line is supposed to carry.

As for the original music during the concert, Karcinogen's song rips. It's a great time, it sounds like an opening act. The part that I was disappointed by was Trent. I know it's not easy to write a moving piano piece, but for someone who is supposed to be inspiring all these feelings via his body of work in Eddy (and the rest of the crowd), and a talented composer with a degree, it felt really weak. I was looking forward to a little more harmony, or use dissonance besides the occasional trill, or really any sort of tone. I had to listen to it a few times just to make sure I wasn't being unfair, or played with my music volume set too low. The piano really is an amazing instrument, and I think that I get the idea of what was being aimed for, it just didn't quite hit.

Still, the game ended up surprising me in a few ways, and even though Chester and Darrell are probably the characters I'm the least interested in the romance of, I'm really looking forward to the next update!

Thanks for the feedback!

Idk if you'll even see this since no one's posted here in a year, but when choosing a name, the player isn't forced to choose something else if they enter Skizzy, April, or Moriah as their name, like they do with every other name that already belongs to a character.

Hey! Glad you found that little easter egg ;3.

TBH, I thought I put Moriah and April as forbidden names, but I guess I was wrong. I also didn't have a name for Skizzy when I first wrote the code for it.

I may try to change it, but I think I may leave it alone. Messing with variables and assigned values is one way to destroy save files in RenPy, so I try to avoid it as much as I can πŸ˜….

Chord Progressions is already very well made so far, everything plus the unique features like extra context passages make it already one of my favourite vns, just one very specific complaint that the 'shirt rustling' sound effect that plays towards the start sounds extremely out of place, ends abruptly and scared the living shit out of me the first time hahah, I do think that should definitely be re-recorded but otherwise great job so far!

Giving links a distinct colour is nice, though I think they need to be adjusted a bit, they kinda blend in with certain backgrounds like this one.

It's something I've thought about too. I'm working on the UI overlay together. Thanks for the feedback :3

So this is something that I've seen on a few other VNs, but for some reason the sprite is split? Or like misaligned, I've seen this happen with another VN with the BG instead (Conway), and another one with being an picture the player is looking over (Glory Hounds). Not sure what causes this, cause besides those two and now this, I haven't seen this happen anywhere else.

Hi! Sorry I haven't gotten back to you.

This is a very strange bug that no one else has reported. Also, judging by the fact you're saying this is happening with other VN's leads me to believe the issue is with your device.

What kind of device are you playing the game on?

An HP Envy m6 Notebook PC. I've tried looking up other instances of something like this happening, but I couldn't find anything.

Hi again. I've reached out to other developers to see if they also have seen this problem and no one really has. My only recommendation is to uninstall and reinstall and hope that works.

You may need to play on another device. After doing a quick google search of your PC, it seems rather old. I believe this is an issue with your device and not an issue with the game. Wish I could be more helpful. Hope you're able to solve this issue πŸ™

Oh, I have more info. Initially, I didn't play through more after seeing the error at first, but after doing so I see it affects all the sprites except for Cliff and Moriah. Not sure why it doesn't affect those two though.

hey i had the same issue! It seems to be a bug with older graphical cards, but at least with Chord Progression I changed the graphical renderer and it worked!

Just start the game and when it's running, press SHIFT-G then try changing to the ANGLE option. Now just restart the game and it might work just fine now!

That worked! I gotta remember that for whenever it happens again in the future. Thanks for the help!

First of all, just wanted to thank everyone involved in the making of this game! I can hardly wait for what comes next.

Feedback wise there's only one thing if I'm being nitpicky... I'd appreciate it if there was a visual distinction between Immersive Passages that expand the text and the ones that open up external links to memes and such. There's only a few of them but they kind of caught me off guard when I was just expecting more text to appear. Since I usually play on a mobile device it felt a bit disruptive.

That's fair! Thanks for providing feedback from a mobile user's perspective.
