Hey Chordies. It's Bowser again :3.

Hope everyone's doing well and taking breaks from the news and such. I know the world's crazy out there, but I wanna do my best to give y'all some well deserved entertainment as we do our best to keep our heads screwed on right.

First off, I have a panel coming up at FurTheMore! I'm going to be rehashing the presentation I made for Anthrocon, What are Furry Visual Novels & How to Make Them.

I'm really excited! FurTheMore is my "local" con and I'm honored to be contributing something to my local furry scene. I may see some of you there! Feel free to say hi :3.

I have no plans on recording and/or live streaming this presentation. I prefer to not make a stressful situation more stressful by giving myself another task. If you'd like to see it, hopefully a kind congoer will record and upload it to YouTube.

Alright, onto some ChoPro updates!

Staccato 6:

• In case you need a reminder, Staccato is our Patreon exclusive, short story series.
• I've been making really good progress! The script's integrated, visual design is nearly done, sound design is now underway!
• I was hoping to get this story up and ready to go before FurTheMore... but no such luck 😅. I was a little overzealous with this one.
• Staccato 6 will include:
  • A new character sprite, Darrell's dad!
  • New sprite outfits.
  • Voice acting by Darrell's dad's voice actor (to be announced).
  • A new background of Darrell's room, made by the wonderful Jim.
  • A new CG, also made by the wonderful Jim! This one's a Staccato exclusive.
  • ~10k words.
  • Will be exploring more of Trent and Darrell's blossoming romance.
    • This story is canonical for Chester's route in the mainline story.
• Planned release date is March 16.
• This is definitely the most ambitious Staccato story to date. I'm really hoping you all like all the extra hard work that'll be going into it 💖.

Episode 7:

• A little more than halfway done writing this one! Coding and voice recordings will follow.
• New CG is underway! A little preview is up on Patreon if you want a sneak peek!
• Sprite work is all done! 
  • Side note, Darrell's dad will not be making an appearance in this one. He'll be showing up in the main story in Build 9.
• Aiming to release the review copy on Patreon by late March or early April.
